The Kathmandu & Pokhara Private Tour is a 6-day, 5-night trip with flights both ways between Kathmandu and Pokhara. It costs $635 to $880 per person. Flights, 4-star hotels, a private vehicle, daily breakfast and main entrance fees are included.
Day 2 covers Swayambhunath, Patan, Pashupatinath and Boudhanath, four of the valley’s World Heritage sites. In Pokhara, you watch sunrise over the Annapurnas from Sarangkot, then visit caves, temples and the lake. There’s no trekking and no altitude.
This is our suggested plan, based on what past guests enjoyed most. Everything can change: hotels, sites, pace, extra nights or a guide in your language. Tell us what’s missing, and we’ll add it and send a new quote. For more ideas, see things to do in Pokhara.
We’re a Kathmandu-based company, registered since 2018, and we book your flights, hotels and vehicle. See the group prices or message us on WhatsApp.

Kathmandu → Pokhara (flight) → Kathmandu (flight)
In six days, you see two very different sides of Nepal. Kathmandu is temple squares, stupas and centuries of Newar craft, all within a short drive. Pokhara is a calm lake town, with the Annapurna range rising straight behind it. Most visitors spend a full day on the road between them. You don’t.
The flight takes about 25 minutes, against six to seven hours by road. On a clear day, sit on the right going to Pokhara and the left coming back. Manaslu, Lamjung Himal and Machhapuchhre line the window. You land by late morning and start sightseeing the same afternoon.
Every day runs on your schedule. Your driver waits at each stop, your 4-star hotel is booked, and your entrance tickets are already paid. If something matters to you, like a slower pace or an extra night by the lake, we build it in. Prefer to see the country by road? Our 9-day Kathmandu, Chitwan and Lumbini tour and 11-day Nepal Road Trip travel mostly overland.
Day 2 is long, with four big sites and Kathmandu traffic. Day 4 starts before dawn for the Sarangkot sunrise. Some temples have steep steps, especially Swayambhunath. Non-Hindus can’t enter the main Pashupatinath temple, but you can see it from across the Bagmati River.
Flights: The Kathmandu–Pokhara flight takes about 25 minutes, with several airlines on the route daily. We book a morning flight to Pokhara and an afternoon flight back. Weather can delay mountain flights, so the last day stays free.
Vehicles: A private car for 1–4 travellers (up to 3 if a guide joins), a jeep or van for 5–7, and a Hiace for 8–12. A guide rides in the same vehicle. A larger vehicle is available on request.
Guide: A licensed guide can join for the sightseeing days or the whole tour, in English, French, German, Spanish or Chinese. Ask us for a quote.
Rooms: Solo travellers get a single room. Groups share twin rooms; a group of three gets one twin and one single, with a supplement.
Best Time to Visit: October to December brings the clearest mountain views. March to May is warmer and hazier. From June to September, cloud often hides the peaks. Dashain runs from 30 September to 9 October in 2027, so book early for those dates.

The flight takes about 25 minutes, while the drive takes six to seven hours on the Prithvi Highway. Flying saves most of a day each way, so you get more time in Pokhara. If you’d like to see the countryside, our 9-day and 11-day tours travel overland.
No. The price includes a driver and vehicle, but not a guide. You can add a licensed guide in English, French, German, Spanish or Chinese, for the sightseeing days or the whole tour. Tell us your language and dates for a quote.
The main entrance fee at every guided site is included. In Kathmandu, that means Swayambhunath, Patan Durbar Square, Pashupatinath and Boudhanath. In Pokhara, it covers Pumdikot, Davis Falls, Gupteshwor Cave, Mahendra Cave, the Bat Cave and the Gurkha Memorial Museum. Separate fees inside a site, such as a museum or camera fee, are not included. The Tal Barahi boat, paragliding and the zipline are extra.
Only Hindus can enter the main temple. Everyone else can walk the temple grounds and the riverbank, and see the main temple from the east bank of the Bagmati. The cremation ghats are visible from there too, so please be respectful when taking photos.
On a clear morning, yes: the Annapurna range and Machhapuchhre rise right above Pokhara. October to December gives the best chance. In the monsoon, from June to September, cloud often hides the peaks, so we can’t promise a view.

Yes. Many travellers add it before or after a trek in Everest, Annapurna or Langtang. If you finish a trek in Pokhara, we can adjust the order so you don’t fly back and forth. Message us with your trek dates.
This tour is Kathmandu and Pokhara only, with flights and no long drives. The 9-day Kathmandu, Chitwan and Lumbini tour adds Bhaktapur, Nagarkot, Chitwan and Lumbini, without Pokhara. The 11-day Nepal Road Trip drives the whole loop, with rafting, Bandipur, Pokhara, Lumbini and Chitwan.
