We began working in travel planning in 2012, and after years of arranging trips across Nepal’s trekking regions, formally registered Mountain Hike Nepal as a company in 2018. We personally plan and manage every trip, arranging licensed local guides for each booking based on the route and group.

We’ve spent years planning trips in Kathmandu, and one thing we’ve learned firsthand is where the price gap comes from when someone books a Nepal trek through an international agency instead of a local operator. Most of those agencies don’t run the trek themselves — they send the booking to a local operator like us, then add their own margin, marketing cost, and a coordination layer on top. The guide, the permits, and the trail are the same either way. The markup is the only difference.

No. 189775/74/075), and every trip is planned and managed by our team directly — no reseller, no call center, no third party deciding your itinerary. For every trek, we arrange licensed, experienced local guides and porters, selected for both skill and character. Our Himalayan guides hold official trekking licenses issued by the Nepal Tourism Board, in line with Nepal’s mandatory mountain safety regulations.
