    From Thamel drive approximately 19–20 km south of Kathmandu to reach Pharping, the starting point of the hike. The journey by private vehicle takes around one hour, depending on traffic conditions.

    From Pharping or near the Hattiban Resort area, begin the ascent toward Champadevi Summit. The trail climbs steadily for about 3–4 hours through pine and rhododendron forest along a well-defined path. As elevation increases, the forest opens to wide viewpoints overlooking the Kathmandu Valley.

    At the summit (2,285 m), visit the Champadevi Temple and enjoy panoramic views of the valley and surrounding hills. On clear days, distant Himalayan peaks can also be seen.

    After spending time at the top, descend toward Machchhe Gaun, which takes approximately 1.5–2 hours. Some sections are steep and require careful footing, especially after rain.

    Upon reaching Machchhe Gaun, drive back to Kathmandu. The return journey takes around 45 minutes to one hour, depending on traffic.


    Option 2: Short Route (Family-Friendly Option)

    Drive to Hattiban Resort → Hike to Summit → Return to Hattiban → Drive back to Kathmandu

    For a shorter and more direct hike, drive to Hattiban Resort, which provides a closer starting point. The uphill walk to the summit takes about 2.5–3 hours along forest trails.
