Trekking to Ghorepani Poonhill in Winter: My Unforgettable Experience with Mountain Hike Nepal
My name is Li Leen Foo, and I am from Malaysia. I recently had the opportunity to go on a winter short trek to Ghorepani Poonhill in Nepal, organized by Mountain Hike Nepal. It was a memorable experience that I will never forget, and I am excited to share my journey with you in this blog.
Ghorepani Poonhill is a popular trekking destination in Nepal, located in the Annapurna region. It is known for its stunning views of the Himalayas, including Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. The trek is relatively easy and suitable for all types of trekkers, making it a perfect choice for those who want to experience the beauty of the Himalayas without taking on a challenging trek.
My journey with Mountain Hike Nepal began in Kathmandu, where I met my guide and driver. They were friendly and professional, and they provided me with all the information I needed for the trek. The next day, we took a flight to Pokhara, which was the starting point of our trek.
We began our trek in Nayapul, a small town near Pokhara. From there, we walked along a trail that passed through small villages and terraced fields. The views of the surrounding hills and mountains were stunning, and the fresh mountain air was invigorating. We stopped for lunch at a small teahouse and enjoyed some hot soup and noodles.
On the second day of our trek, we reached Ghorepani, a small village that serves as a base camp for trekkers. The village was surrounded by dense forests, and the air was chilly and refreshing. We spent the day exploring the village and its surroundings, taking in the sights and sounds of the beautiful Himalayas.
On the third day, we woke up early and started our trek to Poonhill, which is the highest point of the trek. The trail was steep and challenging, but the views from the top were breathtaking. We saw the sun rise over the Himalayas, and the sight was nothing short of spectacular. We spent some time at the top, taking pictures and enjoying the panoramic views of the mountains.
After descending from Poonhill, we continued our trek to Tadapani, another small village in the Annapurna region. Along the way, we passed through forests, streams, and waterfalls, which were all mesmerizing. We also saw some of the local wildlife, including monkeys and birds.
The rest of the trek was filled with similar adventures and experiences, each day providing us with new sights and sounds to explore. We visited some ancient temples and monasteries, which were a great opportunity to learn about the rich cultural heritage of the region. We also met with some of the locals, who were friendly and welcoming.
Throughout the trek, our guide and porter were extremely helpful and supportive. They took care of all our needs and made sure we were comfortable at all times. They also shared with us their knowledge and expertise about the region, which made the experience even more enriching.
In conclusion, my winter short trek to Ghorepani Poonhill with Mountain Hike Nepal was an unforgettable experience. It was a great opportunity to explore the natural beauty of Nepal and to witness the breathtaking views of the Himalayas. If you decide to book with Mountain Hike Nepal, you can be assured of a safe and comfortable journey, with experienced guides and porter.
