The Government of Nepal has announced an issue for the flight operation to Lukla. Most of the flights to Lukla will commence from Ramechhap until further notice to avoid the heavy traffic congestion in Kathmandu airport. The airport in Ramechhap is located 130km from Kathmandu (approximately 3-4 hours drive).

Day 01: Drive to Sundarijal and Hike to Chisapani; 5 hrs walk
On the first day of the Sundarijal, Chisapani, and Nagarkot Trek, you will begin by driving to Sundarijal, which is located on the outskirts of Kathmandu. From there, you will start your hike to Chisapani, which takes approximately 5 hours of walking. The trail takes you through lush forests and terraced farmland, and offers views of the surrounding hills and mountains.
As you hike, you will have the opportunity to experience the local culture and meet the friendly villagers who live along the way. You will also have a chance to take in the natural beauty of the area, including the stunning scenery and diverse wildlife.
Upon reaching Chisapani, you will spend the night in a local lodge or guesthouse, where you can relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
Day 02: Hike to Nagarkot; 7 hrs walk
On the second day of the Sundarijal, Chisapani, and Nagarkot Trek, you will hike from Chisapani to Nagarkot, which takes approximately 7 hours of walking. The trail takes you through traditional villages and offers panoramic views of the surrounding hills and mountains.
As you hike, you will continue to experience the local culture and witness the daily lives of the villagers. You may also come across some of the area’s diverse wildlife, including various species of birds and other animals.
Upon reaching Nagarkot, you will spend the night in a local lodge or guesthouse. This hill station is known for its breathtaking views of the Himalayas, and you may be able to see the sunset or sunrise over the mountains, weather permitting.
In the evening, you can relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings, or take a stroll around the area to explore the local shops and restaurants.
Day 03: Hike to Changunarayan temple and back to Kathmandu by driving
On the third and final day of the Sundarijal, Chisapani, and Nagarkot Trek, you will hike from Nagarkot to Changunarayan Temple, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site. The temple is one of the oldest Hindu temples in Nepal and is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The hike to the temple takes approximately 2-3 hours.
After visiting the temple, you will return to Kathmandu by driving, which takes approximately 1-2 hours. This will conclude your 3-day trek, and you will have had the opportunity to experience the natural beauty and cultural heritage of the Kathmandu Valley region.
