The Government of Nepal has announced an issue for the flight operation to Lukla. Most of the flights to Lukla will commence from Ramechhap until further notice to avoid the heavy traffic congestion in Kathmandu airport. The airport in Ramechhap is located 130km from Kathmandu (approximately 3-4 hours drive).
One of the beautiful treks in Nepal is Langtang, Gosaikunda and Helambu trek which takes you through the plentiful wildlife, thriving forests, eccentric villages and astonishing views of the majestic Himalayas. It is a audacious trek which combines one of the best trekking trails in Himalayan ranges. It has three most admired trekking trails viz. Langtang Valley, Gosaikunda Lake, and Helambu valley which are situated at the north of Kathmandu valley contributing numerous breathtaking views of mountains with rare varieties of vegetation and glimpse of abundant wildlife.
Langtang Valley is one of the world’s most beautiful valleys and is located in the central Nepal. It is a relatively simple trek and less busy than other admired famous treks in Annapurna and Everest region. Gosaikunda lake is situated in Langtang National Park of Nepal and is an alpine freshwater oligotrophic lake. Helambu is a highland villages region in Nepal. It is approx. 80km away from Kathmandu. Helambu is a Buddhist Pilgrimage site and is popular for its Buddhist Monasteries and sweet apples.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264ft)
On arrival in Kathmandu, you will be picked up from Airport and drop to Hotel. Introduction to guides, enjoy glimpse of Nepali culture and overnight stay in hotel.
Day 02: Kathmandu: sightseeing and trek preparation
On this day, beautiful sightseeing to Kathmandu, roaming in local markets and experience the traditional culture , In evening, start preparation of trek. Overnight stay at hotel
Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (1,550m/5,100ft): 7-8 hours
Syabrubesi village is the starting point of treks. Enjoy the spectacular views of places like Ganesh Himal, Manaslu and Annapurna.
Day 04: Trek from Syabrubesi to Lama Hotel (2,380m/7,830ft): 6 hours
On this day, you will start trek from Syabrubesi along the way Langtang Khola.
Day 05: Trek to Mundu (3543m/11,621ft) via Langtang village: 6-7 hours
On this day, you will enjoy climbing the valley and travel to green meadows which is the phenomenon traditional place of ghoda tabela.
Day 06: Mundu to Kyangjin Gompa (3,870m/12,697ft): 4-5 hours
This day, Journey of Gompa begins where you will enjoy water mills, mounds of rock, prayer wheels and chortens.
Day 07: Acclimatization: explore TserkoRi (5,000m/16,404ft) 7-8 hours
Seventh day will be acclimatization day, explore an awesome place Tserko ri with the adorable nature beauty of Himalayas, Glaciers, Lakes and Birds.
Day 08: Kyangjin Gompa to Lama Hotel: 6-7 hours
On this day, you will pass by the forest and get acquainted with Tamang village from where you will enjoy the different views of Himalayas.
Day 09: Lama Hotel to Thulo Syabru (2,230m/ 7,316 ft): 5-6 hours
Start trek steep up to Rimche village and descend to banks of Langtang Khola. Continue trek to Thulo Syabru where you will find two trails and you will follow the one that passes by pahare hotel to reach Thulo Syabru.
Day 10: Thulo Syabru to Shin Gompa: 3-4 hours
A short trekking will be made by passing through chorten and checkpoint. From checkpoint, pass by Garta village in south and Phulung Monastery on way to reach at Shin Gompa.
Day 11: Shin Gompa to Gosaikunda (4,460m/14,632ft): 5-6 hours
This day you will enjoy the fabulous spectacular views of Annapurnas, Manaslu, Ganesh and Langtang. Then go towards Gosaikunda lake which is one of the holy lakes of religious and cultural significance for Nepal people. The lake is surrounded by mountains and has chorus of nine other lakes to accompany it.
Day 12: Gosaikunda to Ghopte (3,440m/11,286ft): 6-8 hours
Here, you will pass by Laurebina Pass from where the Helambu region begins and then descend to Melamchi Valley. Climb up a small hill and enjoy glorious view of the place. You will also pass through Surya Kunda before reaching to Ghopte.
Day 13: Ghopte to Melamchigaon (2,560m/8,399ft): 6-7 hours
The trek will pass through dense forest to Thare pati village. Continue trek and reach the beautiful village Melamchigaon which houses a Monestary. Overnight stay in Melamchigaon.
Day 14: Melamchigaon to Tarkeghyang (2,590m/8,497ft): 5-6 hours
You will pass by a stupa towards your way to Tarkeghyang. You will steep up to Ama Yangri which is the highest point of trek for this day and you will get breathtaking wonderful views of Langtang ranges and Mt. Shishapangma. Continue trek to reach beautiful Sherpa village Tarkeghyang.
Day 15: Tarkeghyang to Sermathang (2,610m/8,563ft): 3-5 hours
This easy trek will take you through plentiful forests, chortens, monastery, beautiful villages and and a mani wall. You can see Mt. Everest if the day is clear from Sermathang village which is also a beautiful Sherpa village with adorable scenes of Jugal Himal, Ganesh Himal and Langtang ranges.
Day 16: Trek to Melamchi Bazaar, drive to Kathmandu: 3-4 hours trek, 2 hours drive
Trek to melamchi bazaar through beautiful villages, meadows and fields. From here drive back to Kathmandu recalling memories of whole journey. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 17: Final departure
You will drop to airport according to your desired time of departure.
What is the difficulty level of the trek?
The difficulty level of the trek depends on your fitness level and experience. The trek is generally considered to be moderate, but there are some challenging sections, such as the ascent to Laurebina Pass. If you are not an experienced trekker, it is advisable to go with a guide.
How long does the trek take?
The trek typically takes 15-17 days, but this can vary depending on your fitness level and the pace of the group.
What is the best time of year to go?
The best time to go is during the spring (March-May) or autumn (September-November). The weather is mild during these seasons and there are fewer crowds.
What are the necessary permits and fees?
You will need to obtain a trekking permit from the Nepal Tourism Board. The cost of the permit depends on your nationality. You will also need to pay a park entrance fee for Langtang National Park.

Note: For Bhutan and Tibet tours, if you intend to travel directly to those countries, you will pay the balance sum 20 days before your departure date. We reserve the right to cancel your trip if you cannot pay within our agreed period.
We also consider last-minute reservations. You can book a trip to Nepal 7 days before departure. However, last-minute bookings may not be eligible for Bhutan or Tibet.
A written letter will be submitted to us, for whatever cause, you cannot travel on the assigned days.
If the Nepal tour is postponed, a minimum of US$ 100.00 is compensated as a cancelation fee, and hence the remaining balance is allocated for the postponed trip.
You have to cancel your confirmed trek/tour booking with our Mountain Hike Nepal team in writing minimum 2 weeks before your scheduled trip. You may provide this in writing document or email.
However, even though you may cancel your trip, your down payment amount i.e. 20% of the total price is non-refundable.
But if you have paid more than just the deposit, we would then 20% deduction from the sum and the remainder will be refunded from the initial payment system.
And this policy is valid right after registering your reservation with us. If you intend to cancel your travel within 30 days or fewer than 30 days within your departure date, 20 % deposit is non-refundable.
The Total deposit you made for every Bhutan and Tibet tour would be called cancelation charge. We cannot postpone any trip to Bhutan and Tibet after booked for particular dates.
We are not responsible for any refunds for any incomplete trip, trek or expedition, whatever the reasons from customer’s side.
If your tour is canceled due to unexpected events such as natural disasters, battle or adverse climatic conditions, we will arrange another tour. And that even if your trip isn’t your preference, your money won’t go in waste.
We reserve our right to change prices under various situations. While our actions must be appropriate, just like in situations such as dramatic exchange rate fluctuations, inflation or government acts, we are not liable to answer for our actions.
To attend all of our trips, all our customers should have a full travel insurance policy. Insurance must cover all medical costs, personal injuries, emergency evacuations, travel cancellations, loss of gears and natural calamity, luggage theft or injury and personal belongings.
Flight delays and cancellations are likely to occur frequently in remote areas, especially in the Everest region, jomsom, Dolpo, Simikot and Jumla. Therefore, in case of delays, it is best to bring some extra money to purchase food and lodging. Mountain Hike Nepal won’t be responsible for any extra expenses. Please, prepare accordingly.
If you perform any illegal act during your trip and you are forced to leave Nepal, Mountain Hike Nepal is not responsible for any refunds.
