The Government of Nepal has announced an issue for the flight operation to Lukla. Most of the flights to Lukla will commence from Ramechhap until further notice to avoid the heavy traffic congestion in Kathmandu airport. The airport in Ramechhap is located 130km from Kathmandu (approximately 3-4 hours drive).
The trekking experience from Jiri to Everest base Camp trek is something you will remember for the rest of your life. Filled with the scenic beauty of the eternal Himalayan peaks, the trekking route follows the original pathway through the exciting forests in Solu-Khumbu region.
Filled with the Sherpas, who are formerly from Tibet, you will get to witness the exclusive Tibetan culture and heritage through this trek. They inhabit mainly along the Dudh Koshi River above Lukla.
We will be passing through the spectacular forests and farm land, to let you experience the classic countryside of the Himalayan region. Beautiful snow-capped mountain peaks is sure to surprise you. Rich culture and customs of the very friendly Buddhist and Hindu communities will melt your heart making you super happy and contended.
The trek is full of ascends and descends through forests and rocky terrains along the Dudh Koshi river. Trekking through the pine forests is quite an adventure. You get to visit the largest Buddha monastery in Tengboche and also get to see the 20 feet Buddha statue. The beauty of going up to Kala Patthar and witnessing the breathtaking landscapes full of glaciers is something that cannot be explained through mere words.

Tribhuvan International Airport

Day 1: Arrive Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264 ft)
Our trekking representative will meet you at the Kathmandu airport from where you will be transferred to hotel.
Day 2: Kathmandu valley sightseeing & trek preparation (1,300m/4,264 ft)
We go around the half day city tour to visit many Buddhist and hindu temples like Pashupatinath and Bodhanath stupa.
Day 3: Kathmandu – Shivalaya (1,767m/5,510ft): 8-10 hrs bus drive.
You will be going to Shivalaya via bus. Beautiful scenery of Sun Koshi River along with small villages and many snow capped peaks will be witnessed.
Day 4: Shivalaya – Bhandar(2,200m/7,200ft): 5-6 hrs
We trek towards the Sangbadana pass. We reach Deurali pass after crossing a village. As we get to view the Tibetan culture we arrive at Bhandar.
Day 5: Bhandar–Sete(2,520m/8,220ft): 5-6 hrs
Trekking through the deep forest and crossing the canyon there is a steep descend. Once we cross Lamjura and Chumbu pass we reach Sete.
Day 6: Sete–Junbesi(2,680m/8,850ft): 6-7 hrs
Climbing from Sete we cross a forest to reach Lamjura pass. The forest is a home to a variety of Magnolia, birch and rhododendrons. Walking further through the forest we will reach a village-Junbesi.
Day 7: Explore Junbesi surrounding include Thubten Choling Monastery
Colourful bazaars of Junbesi is visited along with Buddhist monasteries like Thubten Choling to learn about their history.
Day 8: Junbesi – Nunthala (2,250m/7,500ft): 5-6 hrs trek.
We trek towards Nunthala for 6 hours. On the way you will get to see beautiful peaks of Thamserku and Mera. We will pass through the Takshido monastery and beautiful streams.
Day 9: Nunthala–Bupsa (2,360m/7,750ft): 5-6 hrs trek.
We trek along the Dush Koshi River passing the terraced farms. We descend for some time and finally ascend steep to reach Bupsa.
Day 10: Bupsa–Ghat (2,590m/8,550ft): 5-6 hrs trek
Trekking through the forest we get the view of Mt.Khumbila and Mt.Cho Oyu. Crossing the Sherpa settlements along the Dudh Koshi River, we reach Ghat.
Day 11: Ghat-Namche Bazaar (3,440 m/11,280 ft): 5-6 hrs trek
Ascending to Phakding we walk through the pine forest crossing some Sherpa villages. We reach Namche bazaar after crossing the Tenzing-Hilary bridge.
Day 12: Acclimatization Day – Namche Bazaar(3,440m/11,284ft)
As you acclimatize to this altitude you can go around Namche bazaar to know about its Sherpa Culture. You should visit the Sagarmatha National park.
Day 13: Namche Bazaar-Tengboche (3,870m/12,694ft): 5- 6 hrs
We trek towards Tengboche along the mountains and Dudh Koshi river. Tengboche has a Buddhist monastery having a 20-feet Buddha satue.
Day 14: Tengboche-Dingboche (4,360 m/14,300 ft): 5-6 hrs
We trek towards the Pangbuche gate through the beautiful forest. We will reach Dingboche after lunch at Syomare.
Day 15: Acclimatization day in Dingboche
We spend the day at Dingboche going around. You get to see the Nangkartshang peak and Ama Dablam from here.
Day 16: Dingboche–Lobuche (4,940 /16,207ft): 7km, 5-6 hrs
Climbing up to the Yak grazing pasture of Dhukla we can witness the peaks of Khumbtse and Pumori. We reach Lobuche trekking upstream.
Day 17: Lobuche-Gorak Shep (5,160 m/17,000ft)-Everest Base Camp (5,364 m/17,594 ft): Gorak Shep:8-10 hrs
The challenging trek continues along the glacier towards Gorak Shep. You get to visit the Everest base camp during the trek.
Day 18: Gorak Shep-Kala Patthar (5,545m/18,192ft)- Pheriche (4280m/14,070ft): 8-10 hrs
Ascending towards kala patthar will give you the magnificent view of the Himalaya peaks. We then trek down to Pherice.
Day 19: Pheriche–Phortse (3,750m /12,300ft): 4-5 hrs
We will visit the pangboche monastery while moving down to Phorste. Trekking through the forest can give you a glimpse of musk deer, Himalayan goat and other birds.
Day 20: Phortse–Monjo ((2,800m /9,200ft): 5-6 hrs
We walk along the confluence of Gokyo lake trek and everest base camp trek. Descending down we walk through Jorsalle and finally Monjo.
Day 21: Monjo–Lukla (2,780m /9,175ft): 5-6 hrs walk
We retreat back to Phakding crossing few sherpa villages. We reach Lukla after crossing a suspension bridge.
Day 22: Lukla–Kathmandu by Air (1,300m /4,264ft): 35 minutes airstrip.
Fly back to Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.

Note: For Bhutan and Tibet tours, if you intend to travel directly to those countries, you will pay the balance sum 20 days before your departure date. We reserve the right to cancel your trip if you cannot pay within our agreed period.
We also consider last-minute reservations. You can book a trip to Nepal 7 days before departure. However, last-minute bookings may not be eligible for Bhutan or Tibet.
A written letter will be submitted to us, for whatever cause, you cannot travel on the assigned days.
If the Nepal tour is postponed, a minimum of US$ 100.00 is compensated as a cancelation fee, and hence the remaining balance is allocated for the postponed trip.
You have to cancel your confirmed trek/tour booking with our Mountain Hike Nepal team in writing minimum 2 weeks before your scheduled trip. You may provide this in writing document or email.
However, even though you may cancel your trip, your down payment amount i.e. 20% of the total price is non-refundable.
But if you have paid more than just the deposit, we would then 20% deduction from the sum and the remainder will be refunded from the initial payment system.
And this policy is valid right after registering your reservation with us. If you intend to cancel your travel within 30 days or fewer than 30 days within your departure date, 20 % deposit is non-refundable.
The Total deposit you made for every Bhutan and Tibet tour would be called cancelation charge. We cannot postpone any trip to Bhutan and Tibet after booked for particular dates.
We are not responsible for any refunds for any incomplete trip, trek or expedition, whatever the reasons from customer’s side.
If your tour is canceled due to unexpected events such as natural disasters, battle or adverse climatic conditions, we will arrange another tour. And that even if your trip isn’t your preference, your money won’t go in waste.
We reserve our right to change prices under various situations. While our actions must be appropriate, just like in situations such as dramatic exchange rate fluctuations, inflation or government acts, we are not liable to answer for our actions.
To attend all of our trips, all our customers should have a full travel insurance policy. Insurance must cover all medical costs, personal injuries, emergency evacuations, travel cancellations, loss of gears and natural calamity, luggage theft or injury and personal belongings.
Flight delays and cancellations are likely to occur frequently in remote areas, especially in the Everest region, jomsom, Dolpo, Simikot and Jumla. Therefore, in case of delays, it is best to bring some extra money to purchase food and lodging. Mountain Hike Nepal won’t be responsible for any extra expenses. Please, prepare accordingly.
If you perform any illegal act during your trip and you are forced to leave Nepal, Mountain Hike Nepal is not responsible for any refunds.
