Poonhill Trek

Ghorepani Poonhill Trek

0
  • 6 Days
  • Group : 1-15 People
  • Guided Trekking
  • Difficulty : 4

The Ghorepani Poon Hill trek is a popular and beautiful trek in the lower part of the Annapurna Conservation Area in Nepal. The trek’s main destination is Poon Hill, a viewpoint that provides panoramic views of the snow-capped Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges. The trek takes 5 days from Pokhara and 7 days from Kathmandu and is ideal for those with time and budget constraints.

The trek starts from Nayapul and takes you through a forest of blooming rhododendrons and bamboos, as well as ethnic villages of the Gurung and Magar communities. The trail also passes through Ulleri, where you will encounter more than 3000 stone steps, and Ghandruk Village, home to the Gurung Museum.

The best times to trek are in spring and autumn, when the weather is mild and the views are the clearest. Although the trek is also feasible in summer and winter, it requires more preparation and caution due to potential weather obstacles.

Overall, the Ghorepani Poon Hill trek provides an opportunity to immerse yourself in the natural beauty and cultural richness of Nepal while also challenging yourself with a moderate hike.

If you’re planning a trip to Poon Hill, Don’t hesitate to contact us. We’re going to help you making your trip unforgettable.

The 6 days Ghorepani PoonHill trekking itinerary is planned for trekkers who want a quicker but shorter and more spectacular trek, particularly with their families and children in the rural mountains with a close view of the Himalayas. Nevertheless, if you’re wishing for a longer trek in the Annapurna region while also entering its base camp, then the Annapurna Sanctuary trek-14 Days will be the best choice. Annapurna Circuit Trek-13 Days will be ideal for trekkers who desire a more challenging trek with the entire Annapurna circuit to travel in around two weeks’ time. Again, for trekkers willing to go on a more challenging trek in and near the Annapurna region, please select Annapurna Circuit Trek-18 Days.
